Welcome to BBCC Colts section.
We at Botany Bay Cricket
Club
are totally committed to the development of our future cricketers. Colts sides
have been run successfully here for nearly 50 years. In addition to colts teams,
we have joined the Hertfordshire Development Division which aims to encourage development
of young cricketers under the age of seventeen. Botany Bay CC is an affiliated
member of the Middlesex Colts' Association and play matches in the Middlesex
East Area Leagues and also in Middlesex Count Cups.
Botany Bay Colts Section provides coaching,
for girls and boys from the age of 6 (year 1), by qualified ECB coaches. Our
objective is for all young people to enjoy their cricket and to develop their
techniques in a safe and friendly environment. Players are divided into age
groups and may be selected to play competitive matches for Botany Bay CC at
Under 11s, 13s, and 15s.
Players, who perform consistently well, may be
put forward by their manager for County trials. A number of our colts currently
do or have represented Middlesex, Hertfordshire and South England. Older colts
with ability are invited to play for Botany Bay CC's senior XI's.
As a club, we are firm believers of investing
in youth. Our future largely depends on youngsters coming through and providing
new blood and talent for our senior sides.
